- Paul Shanley – Owner of Molly Malones
One of the more kick arse Irish bands playing the Cincinnati circuit, the Charms always make you care less, drink more and talk yourself into a whiskey to go along with another pint you probably shouldn’t be drinking in the first place. They get the crowd going, the young ones throwing their heels up, the boys at the bar, lying and bragging and the old couple at the table, tapping their toes. If it wasn’t for their seemingly effortless hard work and professionalism, I’d swear they were half cut themselves.”
-Paul Shanley is the owner of Molly Malones Irish Pub.

Seeing the Unlucky Charms is like watching a three ring circus perform on a mine field. It’s loud, exciting, and you never know what’s going to happen. Their ability to get the audience to interact and respond is unmatched. I felt like I was a part of the show. You won’t go home, saying “I saw some Irish band,” you’ll go home and brag, “Have you seen the Unlucky Charms?”

The Unlucky Charms are an eclectic blend of badassery and tomfoolery. It’s not ear-rape, it’s surprise ear-sex you didn’t know you wanted. Between making you feel blatantly Irish (or drunk… I’m never sure which one is right) and safe to make a total ass of yourself in public, the Unlucky Charms are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, a bounce in your drunken step, and a notch on your bed post. I mean, come on, they are total hotties!!

If it wasn’t for this band, I never would have woke up in that alley missing my pants. I’m pretty sure I had a great time. Thank you, Unlucky Charms!
-Chris designed an album cover for the band, The Breeders.
